Ashley James grew up in Lexington, Kentucky,
and appeared in numerous productions at
Lexington Children's Theatre, local community
theatres, and the School for Creative and
Performing Arts. She completed her freshman
year at Emerson College before taking time
off to travel to Italy and transfer to
Kenyon College, from which she graduated
in 2004 with a major in Drama. She has spent a year and a half with Lexington Children's Theatre, where she played some of her favorite roles, including Lil' Ann in "Where the Red Fern Grows", and Miss Rosemary in "Cows Don't Fly and Other Known Facts".
In 2006, Ashley moved to Boston and has since performed in shows with Newton Country Players, Makeshift Theatre, and Another Country Productions. She has also appeared in several student and independent short films, most recently starring in Have Your Cake with Blizzard in July Productions.
Born and raised in Mamaroneck, NY, Chris
Portal initially set out for Cornell University,
followed by a career in software development.
In 2005, Chris started to explore film,
a life long passion of his. He first enrolled
in the New York Film Academy where he made Pamela,
a short film that was critically praised
by the program directors. In 2007, Chris enrolled in Boston University's Center for Digital Imaging Arts (CDIA), where he worked on a number of short films, including Geek of All Trades, a documentary that profiled the various interests of an eccentric Boston lawyer. In 2008, Chris worked as A.C. on The Aristocrat, an independent, feature film for Three Times Productions.
White Elephants is Chris' CDIA final project and is considered to be his directorial debut. The film has received critical praise from CDIA's executive director, and was recognized by the film program directors for Best Narrative Film, Best Director, and Best Cinematography.
Born in Connecticut in 1982,
Harrison
Lees
is a newcomer to the industry. His first
film was a UCLA student project written
and directed by Justin Lerner known as The
Replacement Child, which has won 14
awards. The following year, Harrison signed
on to the film Afterschool, which
premiered in 2008 at the Cannes Film Festival
to critical acclaim. Since beginning his career in 2006, Harrison has held positions in film ranging from swing to Assistant Director, including Production Designer for the NYU film The Chosen, directed by Kris Brown.
The Gift Cycle due out in 2009. His most recent project was on the set of the film All Me, All the Time, starring Keir Dullea, Mia Dillon, Sachi Parker, and John Augustine written by Susan Cinoman and Doug Tenaglia.
Cory
Gabel
is an award-winning composer,
producer and performer, creating original
music for film, stage, dance and television.
Cory performs regularly as a solo pianist,
as well as a jazz bassist, vocalist and
orchestral percussionist. His scores have
been featured in numerous short and feature
films, as well as dance and stage productions. Cory's musical career began in Los Angeles, where he founded and fronted the alternative rock band Limestone Rome. During that time, Cory was also writing and performing in a completely different style, producing several contemporary solo piano recordings. The exposure of this music to film makers and producers paved the way for Cory's eventual move into composing and producing for film, and the formation of his company Atticus Audio Arts. Cory now works from his home studio in Burlington, CT.
